World Water Day
World Water Day
To raise awareness and consciousness, we held a World Water Day program with the participation of Şişli District National Education Branch Manager Musa Darılmaz and Şişli District National Education Branch Manager Mustafa Hoşyiğit. The United Nations General Assembly designated March 22 as World Water Day in 1993 to emphasize the importance of protecting and increasing drinkable water resources. In 2010, the UN recognized access to clean water as a basic human right. Since its official signing in 1993, World Water Day has been celebrated globally with different themes organized by UN-Water. The 2023 theme is “Accelerating Change Through Partnerships and Cooperation.” Our students’ projects included:
- Yonca B. wrote a composition on World Water Day for the DSİ 14th Regional Directorate.
- Ela D. prepared a slogan for the day’s significance and received her award from Musa Darılmaz.
- In the middle school art competition, Mayra E. won first place and received her award from Mustafa Hoşyiğit.
- In the elementary school art competition, Demirhan V. won first place and received his award from our principal, Sedef Bulat.
The program continued with an art exhibition by our students for World Water Day. We thank Şişli District National Education Branch Managers Musa Darılmaz and Mustafa Hoşyiğit for honoring us with their presence.
