ITA Schools at Space Camp
Astronomy, one of the earliest sciences on Earth, has attracted the attention of human beings for centuries and aroused curiosity. We participated in the Adventure of Stars and Planets in Space Camp, the Space and Science Center in Izmir, with our students from March 16th to March 18th, with the aim of learning what we wanted to know about astronomy, space and planets and discovering the importance of science and technology and acquiring new experiences.
Our students took part in many sessions and workshops such as Space training, planetarium, space clothing, star observation, space agriculture, shuttle heat protection systems. During the flight mission, our students fulfilled all responsibilities seriously and made a successful landing of the space shuttle. Besides all these trainings, they had the most enjoyable time when they experienced simulators that the astronauts use for their training. These 2 days of educational and entertaining environment has taught our students both to develop communication skills and to act as a team.
