ART COMPITITION-ELGIZ MUSEUM

The theme of the art competition which was held by ITA Schools and Elgiz Museum due to 16. Italian Language Week was “Creativity, Brands, Costumes, Fashion and Design”.

ITA Schools have been organizing cultural and informative celebrations for children and teenagers for the last 3 years within the scope of “Universal Italian Language Week”.

The ITA Schools celebrate these international celebrations in October every year under the auspices of the Italian Republic.

Language week makes us proud to see the language development of our students who have chosen Italian starting from the very first years of their school life in relation to the Italian culture and the quality of Italian products.

For this reason, we have organized a drawing contest entitled "Children's Creativity" at Elgiz Modern Arts which was thought to be the most suitable place for our competition. Since there were many Italian artists' work in the museum, our students had the opportunity to observe these works with admiration throughout the competition.

26 students including Turkish, Italian and Arab students, from the primary and secondary ITA Schools attended to the competition.

The award ceremony was held after three hours of competition. Jury members, Gianni Vinciguerra, Director of the Italian Cultural Center, Elgiz Museum Director Sevda Elgiz, Mr Francesco Boari, Mr Ali Işıngör, Mr Giovanna Manzini, Mr Enrico Boari, Chief Claudio Chinali and our visual arts teacher Tülin Çabuk, decided on the best drawing regardless of age group.

The young people who won the competition received their awards, from prestigious Italian brand names such as Ferrari, Maserati who exhibited their cars in front of the museum, Ferrero participating with all kinds of dessert and the first prize sponsor Eataly.

We also had other brands in mind with their designs. All our students showed great interest in the dazzling Red Vespa. The interest that White Cinquecenton saw caused the "blush" on the powerful Maseratin's face.

In addition to our valued guests, some of our parents were also with us during the competition and this showed us how popular Italian and Italian cultures is in Turkey.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this "Italian Day". While the ITA schools congratulate the winners, they wish all young people to continue experiencing cultural activities, which bring them one step closer to Italy, because participation is important!
